About This Project

With new enrolments taken for 2017, Urban Building was called upon by an existing client to refurb the reception areas on a two-levelled day-care campus on Sydney’s northern beaches. Previously used materials, textures and colours were used to enhance the reception areas with the addition of a parent’s lounge included on both levels. Demolition, new construction including oversized glass sliding doors and plasterboard partitioning, detained joinery with slat screens, reconfigured power and data services, feature lighting, wall graphics and a mix of sheet vinyl flooring & carpet tiles were all installed and completed outside of campus operating hours. Specific site safety measures where employed to ensure students, parents and carers were unaffected by the works.

“Brad and his team have always been prompt and professional in all the work they have done for us. Of particular note is their flexibility in working around the strict requirements of building in and around childcare centres, with the various restrictions that implies, including a lot of evening and weekend work. The team really do everything they can to meet our requirements.” Ben Mirkin | Project Manager
