OAMM Brookvale

About This Project

With technology changing print media into the digital form, Urban Building was called upon by a prominent Brookvale based advertising company to transform an onsite print shop into a corporate boardroom and staff breakout area with kitchen.

Working closely with the in-house design team, existing printing plant and presses were removed along with perimeter partitions and commercial floor coverings which returned the area to a basic shell. A glass ‘fish bowl’ boardroom was installed with air conditioning services concealed in a plasterboard bulkhead above. Oversized aluminium framed glass sliding doors open on to the new custom made kitchen seamlessly linking the two areas. The existing floor slab was polished, exposing the previous uses and history of the building, while feature carpet tiles denoting corporate and breakout areas were installed to specify the use of each area.

Power, data feature and LED lighting circuits were installed throughout the space via exposed cable trays. Bold colours and striking entry graphics married with raw materials added to the industrial yet contemporary fit-out.

The site was revisited in March 2017 with the addition of further glass partitioning and oversized sliding doors adding useable office space to the area.

“We were so happy with the entire process, from quoting right through to completion, Brad was so organised and responsive. His input into the selection of materials, colours, lighting etc were a big help and ensured the space looked great. Extra care and time was taken by the Urban Building team and their sub-contractors, they worked to each deadline in a professional manner, super clean and tidy and on time. We are very impressed with the final product, we get many compliments on our renovated office space, we have recommended Urban Building to other companies and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.” Vanessa Boatwright | General Manager – OAMM
